The German company Audi is looking forward to a particularly successful 2019 in terms of innovations and updates. The compact A3, as well as the Sportback e-Tron version and the S and RS versions of several models, will spark interest from Audi fans in the new year.
Just to be sure, Audi has already booked September 12 in their agenda. The first public opening day of the Frankfurt motor show will give the public the opportunity to experience the bouquet of new models at the Audi stand. Of course, the focus will be on the new A3, but not only, as you can find out in our dedicated post below.
Audi A3
The next generation of the Audi A3, the fourth, will be launched by the end of 2019. The brand’s highly anticipated four-ring compact model will no longer offer a three-door convertible version in its catalogue. On the other hand, along with the four- and five-door versions, there are rumors that a four-door coupe will also appear. We shouldn’t expect a revolutionary change in the design of the next A3, rather the model will take a technological leap forward and offer a mild hybrid as well as an all-electric version.
Audi RS Q5
The Q5 crossover will offer an RS version in its range next year to prevent its main competitors from shifting it from its leading position in this segment. Power will no doubt be transferred to a 450 hp 3.0 V6 bi-turbo engine. A few words about the price: probably around … 100,000 euros. Sales are expected right after the end of the Frankfurt Motor Show in September next year.
Audi e-tron Sportback
The e-Tron family will be expanded with a second edition of the Sportback in 2019. Three electric motors in the program and a power that can reach up to 370 kW (and 800 Nm of torque!) thanks to the boost function. The result: 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h.
Audi C8
Cherry on the cake, the premium face of the ring manufacturer around the world: the new «hot» S8 version of the exclusive Audi A8 (manual D2) will hit the world market in 2019. Instead of loud phrases, we are waiting for a bi-turbo V8 engine that will develop … 550 hp. And the estimated price will be about 170,000 euros.
Audi R8
The supersport Audi will be updated in 2019. The program includes minor design changes and reconfigured suspension. The V10 Quattro version will offer 570 hp. to reach 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds for the coupe and 1 tenth more for the roadster version. The top Performance version (up to Plus) will have 620 hp. Sales will start after the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019.
